Located on a former site of the Côte Brasserie, the new place will have 120 seats as well as a private dining room that can accommodate up to 25 guests.
The latest venue joins the group’s other London venues in Marylebone, Chelsea, South Kensington and the most recent opening 28-50 by Night, the live jazz venue which opened next to the Marylebone restaurant.
The new venue will serve an ever-changing wine list led by the group’s head sommelier Jules Bensacqwhile group chef Julien Baris will oversee the seasonally changing à la carte menu. Signature dishes will include truffle arancini, oysters, burrata, marinière mussels, octopus ceviche with red onion, fennel, jalapeños and aguachile, and steak fries.
“We are delighted to have secured such a prime new location in central London – with our largest wine bar and expansive al fresco terrace, we look forward to bringing the essence of a French summer to Oxford. Circus,” said general manager Emiliano Isufi.
28°-50° Wine Workshop & Kitchen is owned by Riviera Restaurants and Luxury, a London-based catering company owned by French hospitality specialist Eurogroup.
The new venue will officially open at Market Place, 4 Great Portland Street, on May 11.
