If you’re looking for low prices on some of the most in-demand products sold on Amazon, you can’t miss the annual Prime Day event. Held once a year, Prime Day is your chance to pick up some of the best merchandise and gadgets at prices above Black Friday. And you’re going to want to get your shopping list ready, because Prime Day is coming soon.

When is Prime Day?

First day 2022 will kick off on Tuesday, July 12 at 3 a.m. EST, and it’s an Amazon Prime member-only event. You will be able to buy offers until July 13th.

But just because Prime Day is scheduled for July 12 doesn’t mean you have to wait until that date to find out what’s on sale. The deepest discounts are usually saved for the first day of the event, but low prices can be found on everything from homewares to kitchen gadgets and gear to outdoor items at any time. Amazon is known to release the first Prime Day deals in the days – and weeks – leading up to the shopping event.

In fact, you can start shopping today for great Prime Day deals.

What to expect on Prime Day

Almost everything is on sale on Prime Day. You can expect many items in Amazon’s extensive inventory to see discounts ranging from 5-30% – or more.

Tech gadgets tend to get the most attention and some of the steepest discounts during pre-Prime Day sales and Prime Day itself. However, you don’t want to overlook the home and kitchen categories. There will be plenty of discounts and offers to shop if you are looking for cookware, utensils, serving dishes, and even small kitchen gadgets and appliances. Popular brands such as DeLonghi, SodaStream and many more will have discounts on their product lines.

Shopping for items you can use for outdoor cooking at home or while camping and traveling? You’re also likely to find deep discounts on summer-ready gear, accessories, and cookware that you can take on all your adventures.

Find deals on these brands and at non-Amazon retailers

Amazon’s early Prime Day announcements suggest you’ll find big savings on products from brands like iRobot and SharkNinja, as well as Amazon’s own brands. Prime Day will also bring Amazon’s lowest prices on products from Sony, Bose and GE.

Plus, you’ll want to look beyond Amazon for deals. Because the annual Prime Day event is such a big shopping “holiday”, more and more retailers are trying to compete with their own deals. Target, Best Buy, and Walmart are just a few of the retailers that typically offer similar promotion days and discounted events on the same dates as Amazon’s Prime Day.

Shop these early deals today

Prime Day may officially last two days, but it’s really a matter of weeks. Amazon recently announced via email that Prime Day deals will begin for Amazon Prime members on June 21.

But the deals are already live, which means there’s really no need to wait to get a Prime Day discount. Here’s a sample of some of the first Prime deals you can buy right now:

Last year, everything from pressure cookers to toaster ovens to air fryers saw great sale prices for Prime Day. And this year, you can expect similar offerings, including newly launched products.
